From one press on Al-Mutanabbi to every governorate
Manahel Al-Ilm — Al-Aaraji Group for Printing, Publishing & General Trade. Over 35 years printing and publishing curriculum study guides in Iraq.
A house that knows the Iraqi classroom from the inside
We are an Iraqi printing, publishing and distribution house specialising in study guides for the ministry curriculum, from sixth primary through sixth preparatory in both the scientific and literary streams. Over more than thirty-five years our titles have passed through the hands of generations of students, and the name Al-Murshid has become shorthand for the guide you lean on in the year that decides everything.
We do not write these books behind closed doors. Every title carries the name of a teacher who has taught the subject for years and knows exactly where a student stumbles, and why marks slip away on a question that looked easy. The material then passes an editorial board that checks it against the latest ministry amendment before it reaches the press.
Since 2023 the paper has no longer been the end of the story: every printed chapter is tied to a QR code that opens a filmed lesson from the same teacher, and we launched a phone app that gathers the courses, the tests and the downloadable files in one place.

Students per year
"A guide that needs further explaining to be understood is a guide that failed at its job."
— from the house's internal editorial handbook
Our mission
To put a clear, current reference in the hands of every Iraqi student at a price they can meet, however far their city is from Baghdad.
Our vision
That every printed guide becomes a doorway into a complete body of digital material, so no student is left stuck with one explanation they cannot follow.
Our commitment
One cover price, a new edition every year, and an authorized agent network that protects students from counterfeits and from price gouging.
Milestones along the way
Thirty-six years, condensed into the seven moments that changed the house.
Beginnings on Al-Mutanabbi Street
The house started from a small press on Al-Mutanabbi Street in Baghdad, printing Arabic-language guides for sixth preparatory in a limited run.
The Al-Murshid series is born
The flagship line that carried the house’s name to every Iraqi governorate, and the first to teach through tables and mind maps.
Expanding into the governorates
The authorized agent network was founded to cover the northern and southern governorates, so genuine copies arrived at the official cover price.
Full-colour printing
The science titles moved to full colour, on paper chosen to reduce eye strain over long study sessions.
The Adwaa series for top performers
Answering high-average students, a line that goes past ministry level and aims at the central admission exams.
The platform and the app
The academy app launched on the App Store and Google Play, and printed guides were tied to filmed lessons through QR codes.
Manahel Al-Ilm
Manahel Al-Ilm launched as a single commercial front for the group’s titles, digital services and agent network.
Four commitments we do not trade away
Accuracy first
Every guide passes a subject and language review, and is checked against the latest ministry amendment, before it reaches the press.
Clarity over brevity
We write to be understood on the first read. A shortcut that leaves a student stuck is not a shortcut — it is wasted time.
A price that protects
One cover price in every governorate, and an authorized network that closes the door on mark-ups and counterfeits.
Renewed every year
A new edition every school year. We do not sell last year’s syllabus under a fresh cover.
